Ever since I was a young girl, living in Alberta, I have been fascinated by what I see. Trips to our small town library found me leafing through picture books rather than searching for one to read.
My educational path led me to attend post-secondary art and education studies in Calgary, Banff and Windsor where my last degree was an MFA in visual arts.
Over the decades my work has evolved through a number of styles. Most recently my acrylic paintings focus on the realism and endless variety Mother Nature provides. Waterscapes, shorelines and sunsets are my inspiration; these “snapshots in time” never disappoint. There is a calmness and beauty in nature which helps us unwind and enjoy the balance and harmony that art can provide.
